![]() Jim was a big supporter of sailing, the Pewaukee Yacht Club and the Lake Pewaukee Sailing. Jim received a bachelor’s degree in 1961, a juris doctorate in 1964, and a master of public law in 1968, all from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Jim was a senior vice president of Wisconsin Energy Corp. Jim is a member of the board of regents for the Milwaukee School of Engineering and a member of the board of directors for Carthage College. He also served as co-chairman of the Bush Committee for President-Wisconsin in 2000 and as chairman in 2004. ![]() He served as the General Chairman of the Thompson Committee for Governor. He was a consultant from 1992 to 1996 for the Republican National Committee and the Republican Governors Association. Jim served on numerous boards, commissions, and committees. He was a collaborator with Bilge Pullers and volunteered extensive time and experience for ILYA, including his 501(c)(3) filings. He was the driving force behind the formation of the National Class E Scow Association and all the necessary state and federal paperwork, he was a founding member of the National Class A Scow Association and was one of the three founders of E Blue Chip.
